ACREA is a unique opportunity to interact with your clients in a new and meaningful way. Created as much as a ministry as a professional organization, ACREA aims to provide many of the services you would gladly provide any client, but it also provides a uniquely Catholic touch by connecting clients with their new parishes by coordinating the blessing of their home.

The home blessing is a tradition that has fallen away in the United States. ACREA hopes to change that. Families need all of the support they can get these days. Connecting clients with their parishes is good for both the client and the parish. It’s one of the easiest and fastest ways to build a support network in a new community.

ACREA makes no judgements regarding the religiosity of its members, but we do ask that members respect the blessing tradition and make introductions in the new parish. The reason for this is that the home blessing is NOT a marketing gimmick. It is expected that members will participate if asked. They are usually quite enjoyable and often include dinner. What better way to get to know your clients?

ACREA will make available marketing materials to help you reach out to parishes. You can buy them preprinted from the ACREA or download files from the site to print or customize yourself. Crucifixes blessed by the Pope can also be obtained through our web store AT COST. The Church forbids the selling of previously blessed items at a profit. It is required that all members acquire their blessed crucifixes through ACREA. This ensures the quality of the gift and that each crucifix is blessed by the Pope.

We encourage all members to use parish bulletin advertising and we have secured discounted rates from major bulletin publishing companies for first time advertisers. We also urge members to consult ACREA when making referrals so that we can identify the correct member agent or recruit a member in areas where there is none. That is what will help to expand the network and spread the home blessing tradition.

Last but not least – LEADS. Working with parishes, listings and referrals will be a significant part of what we do. By providing Catholic-focused client services and supporting parishes up front, we should be in the best possible position to earn the business. ACREA ACCEPTS NO COMMISSIONS!  We appear on no closing statements. We are an Association that facilitates introductions to other real estate agents who want to support local parishes and the tradition of blessing homes. You negotiate any referral fees directly with the other agent with no input from ACREA. ACREA is good for clients, good for parishes, and good for your business. You’d be hard pressed to find  a better way to meet new clients and grow your business in a more meaningful way for $100/yr.
